Pinata Chronicles

We took the balloon out of our pinata a few days ago, I tied a ribbon through for hanging it, filled it up with goodies and prizes for the kids while they were sleeping, and patched the hole. Today we made papier mache pulp to give the pinata even more strength. It totally saturated the shell underneath, threatening to misshapen our precious project, so I decided I would follow the advice to dry it out in the oven on a low temperature. I periodically checked on it to see how it was drying, and after about an hour realized, Wow, I am an idiot! There are chocolates and plastic toys inside this thing. Not only are the kids in for a surprise when they finally crack it open - I'm curious to see what's going to fall out too!

Too funny! We’ve made pinatas in the past too, but have never been quite as elaborate as you guys. A couple coats of paper and paste, fill it up, paint it and smash it! I’m curious to know the state of all your treasures inside after being incubated!

Haha, I definitely laughed out loud at that and got Sam to read it too. Can’t wait to hear the end of the story.
