Clay and I have been wanting to go on a photo walk around our city for a while now, but the opportunity doesn't really present itself when you've got four small children. Well, the big three are at Grandma and Grandpa's, and so this evening Deacon came with us as we had a photography date for our seventh wedding anniversary! I was smitten by this set of doors on the Anglican cathedral downtown - so hard to pick just one shot today!
Seriously, one of the best parts of summer. I refuse to let California peaches touch my lips anymore, because they always disappoint next to the flavour of a BC peach. YUM!!
We went down to River Landing tonight for the fireworks festival, and Bailey just wanted to sit with her Daddy. So cute.
Tough shot, since it was dark outside and I couldn't get the focus right. Oh well, I like it anyway!

There are some show homes in our neighbourhood that I've been wanting to check out, so this evening we went for a walk to see them. I should clarify, since they kids would be disappointed if I didn't: Clay and I walked, Wyatt rode his trike, Bailey rode in the stroller, Deacon was snug as a bug in his wrap, and Markus rode his bike. Hopefully he'll be able to shed those training wheels before the snow flies in a couple of months.
Deacon's cousins are always keep on snuggling the littlest boy in the family, and Julia jumped at the opportunity once again when they came for supper today.
It was an unsettled day at home. Two out of four kids not feeling well, Deacon did not have long enough naps and was fussy, so into the CuddlyWrap he went - it's my one guaranteed way to get him sleeping. Early to bed for everyone tonight.
It's art, baby, ART!
My search for a photo at the end of the day lead me to a work of art hanging in the kids' play area in the basement.

Two months old today :)
He's very generous with his smiles these days, but today his dog was more interesting than smiling for the camera.

Driving home late this evening, and Clay stopped so I could take some photos before we got home. I took this from a pedestrian bridge over the river. Bokeh makes nearly anything interesting :)
