Wyatt is so affectionate with his baby brother, to the point where I have to reign him in at times because he comes on a little strong.
He loves Deacon's feet, and was happily singing a tune he made up,
"I love your toes, cuz they're sooo little."
Repeat :)

Weczeria

We went out for supper tonight with Clay's brother and his wife, before they move for the year. We had some gift certificates for Weczeria, an awesome locally owned restaurant where the menu changes weekly with food that is local and seasonal. It was so delicious, as we knew it would be!
It was a little dark to catch a good food photo, so I shot the bar instead.

Cacti

These are the babies of babies of some plants my mom has - which she received as babies ages ago. I'm not much of a green thumb, but these things won't die and keep reproducing. Perfect.

I know I've said it before, but I love watching him sleep. He's so beautiful. I love this photo for two reasons:
1: Deacon.
2: White.
I love the simple beauty of laying my baby down in a plain white bassinet, wrapped in a plain white muslin blanket sewn by his grandma.

Some days on this project, I have great victories. Other days, I take boring pictures of my lamp.

We went on a short drive this afternoon to see some friends who recently made a temporary move to another town, and had a great time visiting with them.
I enjoy living in the city, and I also enjoy getting out of the city.
As Dr. Seuss said,
It's opener there,
in the wide open air.

Here comes the sun, and I said... it's alright.

Izzy

We spent the morning at the zoo with friends: beautiful Isabel, her hilarious brother Beckett, and their amazing mommy Angie. The weather was perfect, and so was the company. Let's go again sometime, Ang!

Markus

It's been a while since I've had a photo of Markus. He's hard to catch with the camera. This morning the temperature was a beautiful 12C, so we headed to the playground. Bailey had a great time in the swing (as usual), and the boys were busy pretending something involving a lion, t-rex, and a giant bird called a gap - inspired by his hoodie, perhaps? haha
It warmed up pretty quickly, so we shed our hoodies and started heading home - this crew was not made for hot weather!

Smile

Deacon had a great time chatting with his daddy at supper today. He is getting very generous with his smiles - I can't believe how quickly he is growing up!
