Busted

E6.
Stupid washing machine.
We had the control board replaced on this thing a little over a year ago, and now it has given up the ghost again. Enough is enough. This evening, we went shopping for a new laundry pair. We didn't make any impulse buys, but have an idea which direction to go in.

We were at Mom and Dad's this afternoon, and Markus was very distraught over a hangnail on his index finger. As I have learned with kids, time heals most wounds but when in doubt, put on a bandage. I asked my dad if he had one, and when they came back Markus revealed his 'man's bandage' to me. Electrical tape :) I didn't hear a thing about the pain after this. Way to go, Grandpa!

Pineapple

One of those days. Those days when I don't think to take a picture until 10:00pm and I reach for the nearest fruit. So what does this say about my life today? Um...I have a pineapple on my counter today.

Mmmushrooms

I made this Mushroom Tart for supper tonight. Oh my. Was it ever delicious!

Deacon does not seem to be interested in baby food; however, give him a chunk of real food and he is happy as a clam. None of this puree nonsense for our big guy. Hey, it makes things easier for me!

Goof

My sweet rosy-cheeked Markus. Clay took him and Wyatt sledding this evening - gotta take advantage of the snow now that it's finally here (and will be melting in no time!

The littlest two and I stayed home, which made for a quiet and peaceful evening. Part of me wishes we could all have been out on the hill, but it will come soon enough and I will miss the evenings spent at home with my babies.

Snow Day

Winter finally arrived today! Just in time for it to leave in a few weeks.

Once the snow finally stopped falling, it was a beautiful day. The kids had an awesome time playing in the snow. Isn't Bailey adorable? I love her long piggytails and chubby cheeks.

I am almost done planning our menu for the month of March. Tomorrow will be a big grocery shopping trip, and there will be a few later in the month for stuff that doesn't store long term...you can't exactly stock up on all your monthly salad greens at once.

I am optimistic that I have gotten my menu planning and cooking groove back (it only took me 8 months), but it may be too soon to tell. We'll see how it goes.

Soon

Banished to the closet for the winter, my Toms are hopeful that they will once again be dancing on dry ground soon. Spring is on its way!!

Magnify

We spent the day hanging out at my mom and dad's house today, and the kids found the magnifying glass. Hours of fun were had, and the hilarity promises to continue!
