We had a BBQ with our church family today, and this little sweetie was anything but camera shy :)
Six years ago today, I married the most amazing man in the world. He is my best friend; a leader, provider, encourager, inspiration. He's an amazing daddy, and amazing husband: and while not perfect, he's the perfect man for me. I am so blessed to love him, and be loved by him.
We went out for supper, then walked to the Fireworks Festival downtown - a wonderful date to celebrate six great years and to look forward to many more.

We need a hero
to save us from ourselves
save us from our fear
When the sirens wail
we need a hero here.

My man's Ibanez Artcore guitar. First time in a while that I've had to scramble at the end of the day for a photo.
Little Miss Boo is getting way too big!
We were out for a walk with my mom, and Bailey would periodically sit up and peer around the corner at me with a look of pure trouble on her face. It was a hard choice between this shot and a mischievous one, but I went with sweet today.
I still hadn't finished editing the wedding photos I shot last month, so this afternoon my wonderful mom came to watch the kids while I went out to edit. Three and a half hours at Starbucks, and I'm done! It's amazing how much you can accomplish in a few uninterrupted hours, and even more amazing how much bigger the kids were when I got home.

I was in search of a red bicycle today, and I'm sure you can imagine my delight when I saw a man on this one heading my way! He graciously allowed me to shoot some action shots of him.
I'm beginning to lose my fear of asking for a shot - I just try to act confident, and let my beefy looking camera do the rest of the talking. I guess I look somewhat legit :)

This retired and transplanted double decker bus lives downtown, across the street from the Bessborough Hotel. It's the home of Bus Stop Refreshments, and nothing beats their iced tea and ice cream on a hot summer day!
