I took a walk down the lane today, and was captivated by all the wreaths hanging on the houses. Such variety! This isn't all of them, but eight of my favourites/best shots :)

My garden, under a lovely blanket of snow. I love the fact that this shrub is still so shockingly green in the firm grip of winter.

We spent the evening at Dana and Zach's for an after-Christmas-before-new-year's party and had a great time chatting with old acquaintances and new. Here's their son Oliver doing a sweet headstand and looking for an audience, I love the look in his eyes.

Two little boys who think their big cousin is very cool. And so is his Nintendo DS. (I have to give Clay credit for taking this picture)

I love big mugs. But they can't just be big, they need to feel nice when cupped by two hands. And they need to be white inside, so I can see the beautiful colour of my tea. Not that I'm picky or anything :)
This is the newest addition to my collection, thanks to my sweetie. I'd been eying it up at Starbucks since November sometime and he willingly picked one up for me. Curling up with this in the twinkling light of the Christmas tree was the perfect ending for today.

Here's Wyatt working on shelling some peanuts with Clay. We had the first of four family gatherings this evening, extended family on my mom's side. It was a great evening of visiting.

Clay and I had a delicious evening at The Keg complete with appetizers, salad, steak, potatoes, veg, dessert, and as the picture tells, beer. Rickard's Red for Clay, Newcastle for me. I'm not much of a beer drinker, but this one is a keeper.

Don't you love it when you go to a restaurant and they bring you a big basket of bread, and a plate of olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping? I do. I don't even need supper really, just the bread basket please! Well I baked my first focaccia this evening and it was delightful, and easy to boot.
