Three Months

Well, three months plus a day. By the time I realized yesterday was Deacon's 3 month birthday (thanks to Clay remembering), it was too late to expect him to be a happy subject in front of the camera. This morning he was all smiles.

I just can't get enough of his twinkly eyes and beautiful smile. Not to mention his deliciously roly little body :) He is one of the happiest babies I have ever met, and I'm so blessed to be his mama!

I received a windfall of apples this week (thanks Jayna and Jessica!), so I plan on making apple butter with some of them, and freezing the rest for crisps and pies. Does anyone have experience with making apple butter? I've never done it and am going to try this recipe unless someone tells me they have a better method :)

Traffic

Had to run back to the grocery store today to exchange some pitas that were past their pull date. Might as well grab an opportunity to sit next to the curb and shoot some cars going by before I have to trudge through the snow to do it.

Rules of the Game

Clay had an early game tonight, so the kids and I were excited to go watch him play. Here's Bailey learning more about the game from Murray. Better to get a lesson from him than me, since my understanding of the game is very basic.

Toesies

I love chubby baby feet :)

We went to celebrate sweet little Eva's first birthday today.

Delicious

Yesterday's pie.
I love that flaky, buttery crust.

Pieday

Today I gave my sister a lesson in pie making. Apparently it's an art that I have mastered and my expertise was in high demand now that Jean doesn't live halfway around the world. We had a great day together, and delicious pies at the end of the day. And happy husbands as a result as well.

Trike. Ball. Night.

That's all I have to say, since every time I try to come up with something else to say I just delete it.

Birthday Gift

This beautiful girl is my niece, Jillian. We spent the morning at her birthday party - she is already 'free' years old! While there were a lot of fun cousins and friends to play with, Jillian wanted to spend most of the morning sitting on the couch with her favourite baby cousin. Deacon was happy to soak in all her affection, and it seemed like this birthday snuggle was one of her favourite gifts.

Wok Box Cutie

Can you say 'Poster Child'?!
She's so beautiful and so much fun. She was determined to eat her supper with chop sticks tonight. I'm not sure how much actually made it into her mouth, but she looked fabulous while she was trying! Don't you love her messy hair?
