Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade,
To write the love of God above,
Would drain the ocean dry.
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

I was singing this hymn this morning, and when I was out in the yard yanking dandelions my fingers stumbled upon this heart shaped stone. He loves and cares for even me.

182: Water

Cue Bon Jovi....."Ohhh, we're halfway there!"
50% done my project :)
I thought I'd have some fun playing with water this morning. I love my new macro lens.

Behold, my recreation of the shot I missed getting today because I left the house without a battery in my camera. I know, I know, you are all dying to know where you can get a framed print of this original masterpiece. Dream on.

3/5: People with ear infections in our house.
Markus went to see a doctor on Thursday and came home with medicine ("I don't like that cherry medicine."), and tonight it was Wyatt's turn ("Mmm, I like that berry medicine!"), along with myself (I am indifferent to these capsules). Not the most exciting thing I could have captured for my first kick at posting a macro shot, but we got home after 11 so this is as good as it gets for today.

179: Goof

Little girl, being silly at the supper table. I can't believe she's going to be a year old next week!

Two houses across the street have seen new folks move in over the last few weeks. I've been meaning to bake them pies as a welcoming gesture, and to give the false impression that I have endless time and energy at my disposal for the sole purpose of looking like Suzy Homemaker and putting all others to shame. Today was just the day for a sham such as this :P I really do love baking pie, and Clay loves to eat it, but it takes the right frame of mind to undertake such a feat with three small children around to keep me busy.

Our much anticipated UPS package has arrived! This is going to be f-u-n!!!

Another shot of beautiful Reese, who is nearly 2 weeks old - it's moments like these that I really love the burst mode on the shutter! Jean, this time, against the backdrop of one of dad's classic plaid shirts.

175: Mending

Just sewing a button back onto a pair of little boy shorts :)

Today we celebrated my grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary. I am awed and inspired. How do two people remain committed to one another for that many years? Only by God's amazing grace.
