I'm not really a big fan of irises, but they do look quite beautiful when there are so many of them in bloom at once.
I am quickly discovering that books are a primary love language of a homeschooling mom.
Friends of ours gifted us a huge box of Sonlight curriculum today, and while it's geared toward grade 1, there are definitely things that the boys were really excited to dig into already. I love hearing my kids getting excited to watch science videos, learn to write their numbers, and read about animals!

Normally our Saturdays are lazy days that we spend as a family doing not much of anything. Today was different because Clay was away all day shooting video for a wedding, so the kids and I needed to entertain ourselves. It was sort of like a weekday in that sense, except that I accomplished as much today as I often do in a whole week of weekdays - the most fun thing on the list today was a tea party with the kids.
There's one more thing left to check off my To Do List, and then I am going to bed!

Today was the big day - Bailey is now two! Markus and Wyatt started the day demanding to know if she was real two or pretend two, since at her party a few days ago she was only pretending.
While I find it hard to believe, my beautiful little girl really is growing up and really is two :)

Today was one of those days. One of those where I felt completely unfit and unworthy to have these precious kids call me "Mommy". A day when I was reminded again that on my own, I am completely incapable, and I need the grace of Jesus moment by moment to empower me to be the mom they need. When I find my joy in him, I can find real joy in being Mommy to these precious three...soon to be four.
Bailey's birthday is coming up in two days, but because our lives are a little hectic right now, we had her birthday party today. I can't believe it has already been two years since this beautiful little princess entered our lives, and she continues to melt our hearts a little more with each passing day. I am so blessed to be her mommy.
Here we have a completely unspectacular photo that will keep me from missing a day of my project, but certainly does not make me feel great about my ability to use a camera. Maybe tomorrow will be better?
I've been wanting to get my garden planted since last weekend, but the weather and our schedule combined have not allowed me any time to do so. This morning, with the help of three very cute little people, we got our seeds in the ground. One more thing checked off the "get done before baby arrives" list :)
Here's my good looking dad, taking a milestone birthday in stride. He spent the afternoon proving he's younger at heart than all the rest of us by taking the grandkid crew to the playground while us kids sacked out on the couch.
We love you, Dad!

Currently the only flower blooming in my garden is actually a weed. A very cute weed though, and I don't dare pull this little Johnny Jump-Up out :) Not the greatest focus on this, but I'm happy with the lighting thanks to a flash outside when the sun was almost gone this evening.
