Isn't he adorable?
He was helping carry my purse to the van. What a sweetie.
Well...are you?
I know it's easy enough to get cynical about politics, but I wish people really understood what a gift it is to live in a country that allows them the freedom to elect their leader. Even if you think none of the candidates are ideal choices, at least you get a choice, and at least none of them are tyrannical dictators. Given all the political unrest around the world in the last few months, I am somewhat hopeful that people will take the gift of voting a little more seriously, but the cynic in me doubts we will see a better voter turnout than last time. Should we force people to vote, or is that less democratic? :)

We woke to snow this morning, which melted by noon. Then the afternoon was met with a small hail storm. The kids were pretty excited to get outside, play with, and eat some hail :)
Cute son, speaking in his Mario voice, hence the serious face. Wyatt was out of the frame, playing with their new Luigi toy that the got today. It's been a day full of imaginative Mario Bros. play.
Roadway? What roadway?
It's true, there really is a road under all that water. I know we had a lot of snow this winter, but I had no idea it would result in floods like this.

About four months ago, Bailey nearly emptied my wallet of its cards, and then lost the wallet. I waited for it to turn up, but after two months of using a Ziploc baggie as a temporary wallet, I gave up hope and bought a new one. I figured she must have thrown the old wallet, along with the gift cards inside, in the garbage. Today it appeared! Somehow it had gotten wedged under the couch, (which I did look under!) and when I pulled the hide-a-bed out today there it was. Now I get to go shopping with my lost coins.
I wondered where I would find my shot today. Time was getting away from me and when I glanced in my side mirror, I was taken off guard by the cool clouds. I nonchalantly held the camera out the window and voila. It's nothing spectacular, but it'll do.
I've been feeling very contemplative today, looking back as I look ahead...so this shot seems rather appropriate.

After much convincing, the boys both received haircuts from Grandpa today. Don't they look handsome?
While we were getting ready to go home, they seized the opportunity to throw rocks into the huge puddle in the front yard. I asked them both to look at me and smile, and this is what I got :)

One shot today - I'm not all that happy with it, but I can't go too wrong with a girl this cute.
Clay and I picked up these art cards when we were in Seattle back in October with the intention of putting them up in our living room as a memento from our trip. We finally bought frames when we were at IKEA last month, and today I finally hung them on the wall. Worth the wait! I love how our home is slowly developing a cozy feeling. It feels good to finally be putting things on the wall and settling in...we've been here for two years, but that's the longest we've lived anywhere!
