239: Sundown

Weed? Yes. Beautiful? Yes.
I so appreciate how this project has caused me to see my everyday surroundings in a totally different light.

I've been accused of not liking shoes. Not true, I like shoes. I just don't like uncomfortable shoes. That's why you'll find plenty of flat slip-on sneakers in my closet, flip-flops, and only one pair of high heels. The only pair of heels I've ever bought in my life. And my love of comfortable shoes is why you'll see me jumping with excitement at the arrival of my new sangria coloured Chuck Taylors.
Wild haired Little Miss Bailey, set on getting her brother's pajamas on her little body. It didn't turn out like she had hoped.

236: Puree

Nothing special today, just me eating pureed soup. Right now, I'm living on a diet of scrambled eggs, soup, and ice cream. Oh yeah, and pain killers.

I took only one shot today - snapped this at my dentist's office before I got very sleepy and happy from the nitrous oxide. I had three wisdom teeth pulled, and two cavities filled. Needless to say, I'm in a little pain now that the freezing has worn off.

More rain, which I love. I had another shot with my garden in the background, but Markus liked this one better "because this one has BIG splashes!" That it does :)

233: Lily

The first daylily to bloom in my yard this year - and it seems to be missing a petal. Oh well, I still find it stunning.

My boys are going to be ring bearers together at my brother's wedding next month, and I took them for their tux fittings today. Here's Wyatt, being so cooperative (really!), doing just what was asked of him. He and Markus looked too cool for school in their t-shirts and tux jackets, but then they tried the pants on and I was not at all happy with the fit (which the guy at the store said was how they are supposed to fit), and then I almost choked when they told me that they charge the same price for a kids tux as a mens. $150? x2? Are you kidding me??! Thanks, but no thanks. We spent the rest of the day shopping for an alternate wedding wardrobe that is much cheaper for us, much more comfortable for them, and we can keep it and have them wear it again. I'm so happy my future sister-in-law is so easy going, and not picky about them having to wear tuxes.

Does anyone know that song? An 80's classic by Kim Mitchell, who is also (in)famous for "Patio Lanterns". Those are the only two songs of his that I know, and much to my husband's chagrin, I love to occasionally serenade him with my 80's repertoire. As for Coke and Pepsi, I have no opinion. They were both in the recycling bin and I needed a willing subject for my photo.

230: Babies

I went out to see the documentary 'Babies' tonight with some friends. Such an interesting film about four babies from around the world (Namibia, Malaysia, Japan, and USA), from birth to their first steps. Check it out if you have the chance!
