...make it the star of your photoshoot, then use it to make iced tea! At least that's what I did.
Hello friend
It's been some time
Since I've sat your table
And drank your wine
Worldly lies
Empty skies
But only you can satisfy
Can I be somebody
Not what they want me to be
Just a pale reflection
Of what you want me to be
(deliriou5?)

My boys have recently developed an appreciation for tea, so I picked up some of these espresso demitasses for them to use as their tea cups - so cute.
On another note, after selling my Nikon D70, today was the first day that I had an, "I hate Canon, why did I ever get rid of my Nikon?!" moment. I shot this in my light tent and wanted to use my 430EX II as a wireless slave (shot in from the side), only to discover I couldn't. My SB-600 for the Nikon could. Frustrating that relatively comparable speedlites don't boast the same features. Canon users....do I really need to get a hotshoe adapter to use my flash remotely? Cas...I know. Dark side.

There is such a simple joy and satisfaction that comes from seeing a row of cloth diapers hanging in the sun to dry.
Although I have three kids, cloth diapering is something very new to me. I always thought I would n e v e r ever use cloth, but my mind has very much been changed. I love them. Just finished a series of posts for my blog on the subject, and needed some photos to accompany them :)

We walked. We ran. We didn't really boogie.
My friend Jessica and I did our first 5k race today - it was so much fun! We had planned on running the whole thing, but were definitely not very diligent with our training. We ended up running about half of it, finished about middle of the pack I think, with a time of 42:10. So now I think my plan is to keep training and hopefully I'll be able to run a 5k in September. We shall see!

Mom, Sher and I hosted a bridal shower today for my soon-to-be sister Megan. I have been to plenty of showers, but have never been on the planning and hosting side of things - it ended up being so much fun! We are very happy to be welcoming such a wonderful girl into our family - she makes my brother one happy man.

The bulk of today was spent out of the house, trekking through the drizzle from the van to the store, then back again, and repeat, repeat, repeat. When we finally got home just before 2 I noticed a hissing sound coming from the van and discovered a screw lodged in one of the front tires. After a quick late lunch, off we went to Canadian Tire to have the tire fixed (for free! Thank you Lord). We got home just before 5, then I cooked a delicious Pork & Bok Choy stirfry which we ate with Cody and Pa. After getting the wee ones to bed it was 9 o'clock and I was wiped. Is that a believable enough explanation for why I was taking a shot of my knife block at 9:45 pm? Some days, this is all I have the effort for with this project. I really like this shot though - the lighting is great.
"Our friend next door painted our fingernails when we were over there playing today. If you think we look shocked, you should see Daddy's face!"
It is so sweet to see how these guys get along so well with the girls next door, even to the point of getting manicures :) It's pretty hard to see, but Wyatt's are pink and Markus' are sparkly blue.

Amazon order - always a welcome sight in the mailbox! Inside was an ESV thinline Bible for me from Clay, and the latest Mark Driscoll book, Doctrine: What Christians Should Believe.
