303: Mars Hill

It has been an amazing day! We are in Seattle for an Acts29 Church Planting Network Boot Camp, and spent the day at Mars Hill Church here in Seattle. Having had Mars Hill in my living room via vodcast for the last 2 and half years, it was so cool to actually be there in person today. I wanted to get a shot from this angle while the singing was going on, but decided to stay put at that time and just experience it. While the day was filled with incredible teaching, that time of singing in particular was so amazing to me as I took in the sight and sound of this room filled with men - real men, Jesus-loving men - singing from the depths of their soul in worship of the God who saves. It was incredible, and gives me great hope for the work of the gospel. Jesus is equipping his church with real men to lead and preach the good news of the gospel. I can't wait for tomorrow.

302: Put your feet up

We journeyed, and we arrived. Hello Seattle! We are staying at such a cool hotel, and this fabulous chair sits in the corner just waiting for me to take a load off. I haven't yet, but I will. We've been too busy shopping (our first stop when we got in was to go to the Apple Store for Clay to buy an iPad) and eating (Italian for lunch and Thai for supper). I've been up since 4am, and I am beat. Goodnight!

301: Packing

Seattle, I'm heading your way tomorrow!

300: Baby Moosey

He's a puppy named Baby Moosey, and won't let you forget it. It drives his brother Batman crazy because he wants the boy wonder Robin to play with him, but Baby Moosey will have none of it.

I had hoped to get outside with this guy today, to get a shot of him similar in feel to the ones from the last few days, but didn't get around to it. Then I was tempted to use one from yesterday but that would have been cheating and that's just not how I roll on my 365 Project.

299: Spitting Image

They say she looks like me.
I say she is undeniably gorgeous.
I should learn to speak so kindly of myself, I guess.

298: Hard to get.

It has become a hilarious game (in his opinion), to run from the camera. He likes to play hard to get, but I'm up for a good chase now and then.

After I was done, he wanted a turn with the camera. It's so cool to see the world from his perspective :)

297: True to life.

I decided to reattempt my self portrait from a few days ago (I am in serious need of a new facebook profile pic! hah), and I am much happier with the results this time around. The crop isn't quite what I was going for, but I look right. That's who I see in the mirror.

296: Java

I do love coffee.

295: Note to self

Dear Kim.
Next time you get a haircut that you're not sure you like, don't attempt a self-portrait session to change your opinion on the cut. You will get frustrated, dislike the hair even more, and criticize every single one of your other features in the process.
You're beautiful, even if you don't feel like it after an hour of trying to capture it.
Love, Self.

294: Spud

It's the end of the day.
He was a willing subject.
