I miss getting real mail. Real, "Hey I was just thinking of you and decided to write you a letter" kind of mail. I found this journal and stationery at HomeSense and had to get them. I figure if I have beautiful paper to write on I'll be more motivated to send out of the blue Thinking of You Mail.

132: Growth

Remember my paper pots? My tomatoes are growing like crazy, and the peppers just started to peek their heads out of the dirt today!

I took this at 11:45 p.m. I love being able to crank the ISO on this camera - it looks like there is daylight streaming through the window!

That's what the name of this paint is. Don't you find paint colours need a good name in order for you to like them? I know I wouldn't feel the same about this colour if it were called something like Oil Slick, Tar Paper, or 10w30. Midnight Dream....it sure works for me.

The piece that I'm painting is a cabinet that my dad built for me back in December. I went to buy paint in January and somehow allowed the guy to talk me into stain when I knew I wanted paint. I kept trying to work up the nerve to use the stain but today, I finally took it back and exchanged it for some paint. I wish it hadn't taken me so long to do because I am thrilled with the results! I can't wait to start putting this baby to use. I'll post a photo of the finished product in a few days once it's in its place.

We all had to know this might happen!
We had been enjoying spring's early arrival until we woke to this today. The wind has been howling all day, garbage and shingles blowing outside...
Saskatchewan. You've got to be prepared for anything.

Before today, I had never seen a toy camera as cool as this one! What a novel idea: a toy camera that looks like a real one, rather than covered in bright colours that scream, "I'm not as fun as your mom's camera!" They really don't make things like they used to.

Bailey was watching the boys very intently at the playground today from the confines of her stroller. I wonder what she's thinking?

Getting ready to put my Nikon D70 up for sale on Kijiji, and I feel like I am losing an old friend. Having second, third, and twentieth thoughts about getting rid of it, but I haven't been using it since we got the Canon T2i, and would like to get a flash for the new friend...what to do?

The boys love to play with the girls next door. They are all so close in age and get along so well together, and now that the weather is nice we actually see our neighbours for more than a passing, "Hi, how's it going?" as we do our best to hibernate.

Here they are sharing Easter treats on the front step, before they head out for an egg hunt.

He is my eldest, my firstborn son. Four years old. So much of the time he seems so big to me. When my days are filled with him and his younger siblings, day in and day out, I begin to lose sight of the fact that they are not my peers - then I get frustrated when they act so immature ;)
They are young, both in years and in understanding, and it is my job to teach, instruct, and guide their young minds and hearts. What a high and noble calling.

Little lady and her great granddad, checking each other out. She's ten months old today, and out to prove that she's not scared of anyone anymore :)
