Little Bailey has recently started to care a lot about clothes, and this is what happens when she's given the okay to choose her own outfit. I think she's ready for the 3 foot high snowbanks to melt so she can get some sun! Later in the day she insisted on putting a few extra layers on - five more shirts to be exact. Perhaps she realized how impractical her wardrobe choice was for the day?

Here I am 22 weeks along in my pregnancy. We had an ultrasound last week and baby was healthy and sleeping like....a baby.
And no, we didn't find out the baby's sex, so you don't need to ask :)

The kids are gathered around my computer for a little gaming - Curious George. It started with just the boys, but when Bailey came downstairs after her nap she jumped in my arms, yelled "Monkey!" and insisted on sitting with her brothers.
Thanks to my mom coming to watch the kids, Clay and I were able to go for a lunch date today. We went to Il Secondo, off Broadway, and if I have to sum it up in a word: yum. The best lattes in the city, amazing pizza, and delicious baked goods. And I had the best company I could ask for! We will definitely be back.

We went down to the river for the grand opening of the new and improved skating rink by the Bess. The boys were both adamant that they wanted to try skating for the first time, so Clay took them each around once. They didn't do very well, but said it was a lot of fun and want to do it again. I'm relieved they didn't freak out.
I'm very glad to have my espresso machine working again, and decided to start the day with a vanilla macchiato.
I'm not sure what to say about this. It's a cart out in the cold on just another winter day. Someone (not me!) was too lazy to put it back where it belongs, and I don't envy the guy with the job of rounding up all the carts around the parking lot. Nope, not one bit.
We are not above bribery in our house. A success on the potty is rewarded with a treat, and Bailey is very enthusiastic about her "beans!". She's not consistent by any means, but we'll slowly keep working on her, and probably get serious about it in a few months. I fully plan on having her potty trained by the time our next baby arrives this summer.
Nothing like ringing in a new year with a clean kitchen! It really is laughable how happy a sparkling clean sink can make me. I hope I'm as thrilled with it tomorrow morning as I am now :)
