We spent today at my mom and dad's, and Wyatt had a whale of a time playing in the dish water. I love the water dripping off the rags in this shot, and the determined look on his chubby face :)

Wyatt giving baby sister a big smooch. He is hilarious when he talks to her, using his baby-talk voice and peering through squinty, smiley eyes. He's been so affectionate lately, and today showed off his resourceful MacGyver side as well: he hauled his Lightning McQueen chair into her room, pushed it up against the playpen, folded the top down to give himself a bigger step, climbed up, and launched himself into the bed with her! They both thought it was a brilliant discovery. The textured look is just the mesh of the playpen, out of focus.

Standing at my kitchen sink this morning looking at the dying rose sitting on my windowsill, I wondered what in the world I would find to photograph today. I've been feeling pretty uninspired lately, and I'm in no mood to venture out of the house with the overload of snow we got on the weekend still not cleared. Getting stuck with three little ones in the van with me doesn't sound like a fun way to spend the day. Then I turned around..she's such a little beauty, and brightens up the dreariest day!

I'm trying to make it a regular thing to bake muffins on Mondays so that we've got easy go-to breakfasts for the rest of the week. And while we bake, we sing, "It's just another muffin Monday!"

The snowing and blowing of yesterday still hasn't let up. Looks like this cozy coupe isn't going anywhere until spring!

The spring-like weather we have been experiencing over the past few weeks has given in to more seasonal temperatures and conditions. We woke to a fresh blanket of snow and it hasn't let up all day. The boys all went out for a jaunt to the music store but I've stayed inside and have no desire to leave the warmth of this house.
From the look of things in the backyard, I'm not the only one looking forward to warmer weather. Poor slide, waiting for someone to come and play.

I spent the day doing mounds of laundry. Here's load number 4, all folded and cute. Load 5 is still drying and I'll have to do the rest tomorrow. Phew! No one talk about ironing, okay?

The bib topping the pile taunts me, reminding me that I am behind on laundry.
This was my first attempt at following a photoshop tutorial to get this look. Good thing my dear husband was sitting next to me the whole time telling me what everything means. I have a lot to learn over the next 313 days!

I'm like a kid in a candy store on a frosty winter day! The kids and I went out to Dalmeny for the morning, and I took the long way home. I took a ton of pictures, but picked this one because I love the contrast of the treated wood fence against the rest of the white surroundings.

Walking through the house, my attention was drawn to the shadows being cast by the glorious January sunlight streaming through the window. I quickly searched for something that would cast an interesting shadow and....voila! Now I think perhaps I'll go curl up like a cat on that warm floor.
