359: Migraine

I was knocked out all day with a migraine headache. This is sort of what my world looked like.

358: H2O

Thankful for it.
Too tired to shoot anything else.

357: Decorate

I bought these massive 15cm Christmas decorations with the hope of hanging them on either side of my front door. I should have checked the weather forecast before I stepped outside to embark on my mission today. It felt SO cold out there, but I had already started so I refused the check the temperature until I finished, so I wouldn't get scared off. It was -16C, but with the wind it felt like -26C. No wonder my fingers felt like they were going to fall off!
I'm so happy with the end result though, I think they look great!

356: Sleep

Sweet, sweet Eva, stealing hearts wherever she goes.
A while back I posted a shot of all the baby bumps of the expectant ladies in our church family, and now the babies are arriving! The girls arrived first - Eva, followed by Tenley, and today I was at another baby shower as we await the two boys set to arrive in the next few weeks.

If you know me, you know I like to bake. I also like to bake things that are challenging (ie: wedding cake). Well today I tackled something I hadn't tried before - a gluten and dairy free chocolate cake. It looks amazing, but I have to wait until supper tomorrow to find out if it tastes as good as it looks.

The chair...and my daughter will be one day too, I suppose :)
I was telling a friend of mine about this chair and she said I should take a picture of it one of these days. So the goal was to show more of the chair in today's shot, but Bailey was by far the most adorable in this one. This chair has been in my husband's family for at least 4 generations - before we had it his parents did, before them his grandparents on his mom's side had it, they got it from Grandpa's uncle, and we don't know where it came from before that. It is so cool to pull this piece of history up to the table when we sit down to eat.

353: Winter

I think it's safe to say that winter is here to stay. A storm blew in last night, and has already left about 10cm of snow on the ground. The forecast low for tonight is -20C, and with the wind it feels close to -30C. Streets are slippery, so tomorrow the snow tires are going on the vehicle. When it gets to -40C we really start to wonder why we live here...oh yeah, because I could never survive summer in a warmer climate :) It's beautiful and quaint when the snow falls, but by February I'll be singing a different song.

352: Grandpa

Everyone gets riled up when Grandpa comes to fight...I mean visit.
Here we have Batman (Markus, being thrown on the couch), The Joker (my dad), Robin (Wyatt, waiting eagerly for his turn), and Batgirl (Bailey, also waiting for a wrestle). It is hilarious to see how excited they get with Grandpa around.

351: Wyatt

One of the many faces of Wyatt. This was a contemplative look between saying "cheese-a-leese!"

350: Fading

The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.
Isaiah 40:8

I have my regrets about how I shot this. I wish I had axed the coloured stones, or maybe gone in for a close crop on the wilted flower head. What do you think? Is it okay?
