Little girl, being silly at the supper table. I can't believe she's going to be a year old next week!
Two houses across the street have seen new folks move in over the last few weeks. I've been meaning to bake them pies as a welcoming gesture, and to give the false impression that I have endless time and energy at my disposal for the sole purpose of looking like Suzy Homemaker and putting all others to shame. Today was just the day for a sham such as this :P
I really do love baking pie, and Clay loves to eat it, but it takes the right frame of mind to undertake such a feat with three small children around to keep me busy.
Another shot of beautiful Reese, who is nearly 2 weeks old - it's moments like these that I really love the burst mode on the shutter! Jean, this time, against the backdrop of one of dad's classic plaid shirts.
Today we celebrated my grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary. I am awed and inspired. How do two people remain committed to one another for that many years? Only by God's amazing grace.

Back in April, I posted a shot of me painting this cabinet and said I'd show you what it looked like in its place a few days later, which didn't happen. Today was a rainy day and seemed like a good time to finally show you the finished product - I love it! I couldn't find anything that fit this tiny space and my dad lovingly built this for me. My computer finally has a home - thanks Dad!
Clay and I went on a date tonight, and took a drive by the river on our way home, in search of any photo worthy statues for this week's statue theme on the 365 site. Just finished taking these shots, when a couple of guys rode up on bicycles, wondering if we had any dope. It was time to leave.
And no, we didn't have any, in case you're wondering.

I finally sold my D70. Mostly I'm glad. The friend I sold it to is so excited about putting it to use, and here it was just collecting dust on a shelf since we got the new Canon. Still.....it's like saying goodbye to a dear friend. Maybe getting a box filled with a speedlite and new lenses will cheer me up..... :) Stay tune for that, hopefully next week.
...waiting for things and people to change without me having to. Off day. Very off day. By God's grace I hope tomorrow is better.
